We have a 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise booked for January, on Mariner of the Seas.
Give me your favorite RCCL cruising tips, as this is our first non-DCL cruise (and our first 7-night!)

I think it will only be a matter of time before other major cruise lines follow suit. Paper docs are relics now, all of the information is input electronically prior to the cruise, and all of the information a cruiser would need will be able to be accessed online in the online document packet. About the only thing useful in the document packet are the baggage tags, but those can even be printed out online now, or picked up at the pier. I personally think this is GREAT! ... [Read More]

What is lodgeboards.com? Who is the Moose and why does he live here?
lodgeboards.com was born October 28, 2001 as a small ez board with maybe a dozen people.We met on a Disney fan site and quickly realized we had more to discuss than all things Disney and we weren't all about the pixie dust and saccharin sweetness that goes along with most of those sites.
Essentially we are an online community geared heavily towards travel. . We also have a multitude of active forums including a virtual sports bar and photo gallery.
Our forums are moderated but we know that we are all adults and leave most things up to individual judgement. We discuss events and subjects that most grown ups speak about. If you are looking for a forum where everything is all pixie dust and sweet and nothing is ever wrong with the world, then you have landed at the wrong place. If you are interested in discussing Disney, cruising, world events and entertainment, or if you just need to to tell a joke or are looking to make friends and have a lot of laughs, c'mon in, we've been expecting you!

I almost forgot to answer the "who is the Moose and why does he live here" question. The Moose is my creation, born out of my mind and created by me. I've never worked with a travel agent before, but could really use some suggestions for this trip we'd like to plan. I found out recently that I'll have a few extra days off work around the July 4th holiday and we'd like to plan a quick trip somewhere. It's just 2 adults. We can leave Thurs 7/2 and return either Sunday 7/5 or Mon 7/6. We are thinking (as usual) about maybe cruising next year. The kids are making their communion and instead of a typical NJ affair, we are trying to convince them to go on a trip. So my question is instead of a suite we were thinking 2 cabins maybe a better choice (2 bathrooms), do they have connecting cabins?

Got back last night. We had alot of fun. It was hot but not miserable, and crowded but not unbearable until Monday. Before that, fastpasses were still available in the afternoons and lines were around 30-40 min. On Monday, it seems the crowds jumped alot. We went to DHS and got FP fpr toy story mania at 10:00 for a return time of 5:40. I knew then it was going to be busy. Had rain showers a little every day which helped.
